This English-Khasi dictionary by U.Nissor Singh,eminent educationist and lexicographer, is a companion volume to the author’s Khasi-English Dictionary,
published in 1906. The manuscript of the dictionary originally prepared by the author was thoroughly revised by a committee of specialists before it was
printed.In addition to Khasi equivalents and meanings, all English words are respelt in round brackets( ) immediately following, with symbols to facilitate
pronunciation.The present dictionary will help to several office serving in the area to understand Khasi language.The book supplies a long-felt need and will serve as a handy,compact reference tool for all students and teachers of Khasí language.
